It's a girl! I was so sure it was a boy but I was wrong.
Some people have been asking me how it all went so here's the scoop. Last blog I talked about going into false labor. Well for the whole week I'd been having contractions but they never stayed. Around sunday they started getting really really painful where I could barely even walk. So by Tuesday they were so bad that I decided to go up to the hospital here and get checked out before I drove into Lethbridge. Well when I went I was checked and got the same answer...1cm with no defacement. I was really bummed and called my mom crying cuz I was in so much pain and I just didnt get why since nothing was happening. Well she came over to help me cuz shes an awsome mom and we got some things together.
Anyway, I woke up at 5am in really bad pain. I couldnt sleep or move or anything so James woke up my mom and we went to the hospital. I got the same answer...1cm no defacement. But they monitored my contractions and they were off the chart and 2 1/2 min apart so they sent me to leth. When I had gotten there I was so sick. I was puking and shaking uncontrollably with shivers but I was sweating like crazy and I had a fever. Anyway, they hooked me up and took blood and everything and they found I had an infection in my blood and that was what was causing all the pain. When they did my swab, I tested positive for the infection but the doctors figured I had gotten it early and it had moved into my bloodstream. At first they thought it was my appendix so with that they brought in a specialist and he broke my water at 12:25 am and said we should get the baby out so they can make sure the infection isnt anything super serious. So they broke my water but nothing was progressing so they started the drip. After the drip I started to progress a little but as the contractions came stronger, Lorelle's heartbeat keep dropping. So if they couldnt make it stop I was looking at a C-section. We called our parents and I prayed that eveything would be ok. At 8:00pm the nurse checked me and I was 6cm. 10 min later the specialist came in and checked me out and I was 10cm ready to push. So they called my doctor, he got there, got ready. I pushed 4 times and out she came. So after 8 hours of stressful, intence labor...it only took 39 minutes to go from 6cm to having a baby. I can't tell you how greatful I am for prayers.
All is well and everyone is healthy. Lorelle has a fluid cyst in her cheek that makes it bigger but it should drain on its own and is nothing serious. She is a great baby so far and sleeps so good which I am so greatful for. Jared and Madilyn have been so good with her as well and Jared is a good helper. Life is definatly busier and I am starting to figure out a routine which will probably take me a little while to perfect but I wouldn't change any of it.
