10 minute Halloween

So I was so excited for Halloween this year. I found Lorelle the cutest costume and was so excited for her to wear it. Well this was my night ( I should have taken pictures):

1: trying to find warm stuff that would fit under Jared's costume since he refused to wear anything over top and it was very cold and windy.
2: taking socks and shoes on and off a million times because "that one hurts me"
3: having it take about 20 minutes just to try to get kids ready to go in between the screams, the cries the "I don't want to get dressed", the falling on the floor in fits, refusing to do anything, the standing with their nose to the corner waiting for them to be done throwing a fit and decide to listen and co-operate and me yelling at James that I was DONE!!!!!!!

If any of you know Jared personally, you will fully be able to vision my night and how everything went and laugh and appreciate the moments since you all know, it's classic Jared. Jared is a really good kid. He's kind and shares and is a little shy but man is he stubborn and there is no reasoning with the kid and no one understands until they witness it. Also, he's a really good teacher to Mady.

Anyway, we headed out and went to about 10 houses and Mady was officially done, so James took her and Lorelle home. Jared lasted about 3 more houses and wanted to go home. If it wasn't so cold and windy, they would have lasted longer but whatever, so we went home, before it was even dark. They ate all their candy when they got home. Literally all of it cuz they had hardly anything. Oh well, less junk for them, right?

I got a few pictures taken, the best I could do. I personally love the bags of garbage waiting to go outside behind Jared. It adds a nice "homey" feel to the picture.

Maybe next year Lorelle will still fit in her costume and if she doesn't, I'll probably put it on her anyway. I'm sure Jana enjoyed every minute of it.

Super cute costumes! I love the little piggy. You should try to put it on her next year. Blake wore his dino costume last year and it still fit him this year so he wore it again.
Sometimes I wish Blake would of only lasted 5 houses. Then we wouldn't have so much candy!

Hey Dina...super cute costumes. I love the little piggy. Question: you used to have one of those pregnancy countdown things on your blog. Where did you get that? I can't find them anywhere...
