What do we do when the power goes out??
Have a fire in the fireplace
We hang out and snuggle
Play battery operated toys until they die
and have slumber parties in the livingroom
and take pictures of the beautiful sunshine in the morning after power was restored
Yesterday really was a wonderful day. There was no TV, no computer, no phone (until we got out the one we had that only plugs into the phone line and runs on battery), Daddy came home from work and we snuggled by the fire (oh and I know there is no fire in the fireplace picture but if you look closely you can see the ashes so there is proof it was there), played games, took naps, made food together and had a really good time. Sometimes it's nice to not have anything to distract you and just have a good time with your family, even if it takes a snow storm and power outage to get there.

I LOVE a good snowed in day, but a good snowed in day with no power! Now that has got to be the bomb! Way to go for making the best of it!

That does sound wonderful! All we got out of that storm was a tonne of rain. :(
I can't believe James had to go to work, it was a ghost town here when the power was out, no one was open. Gotta love forts.
