The Holidays

So the Holidays are over and they went by way too fast. This was one of the best christmas' to date and I enjoyed every bit of it. I was gonna start off with Christmas but since those pics aren't on the top for some reason, I will start off with my birthday.
My birthday was on the 4th of January and I turned 25. Every time I say it, it doesn't feel real, it feels weird somehow. Kinda like when I got pregnant with Lorelle and it never seemed real and I couldn't picture 3 kids but then again she was a wonderful little oops and it was just all sureal to me. 25 seems like the age to me where its really your last year to be known as a "newly married couple" or the "young couple". James will be 27 this year and I feel like this is the downhill to 30 and once your in those high 20's and have 3 or more kids....the young life is slowly rolling downhill behind you. Not that 30 is old....you get what I'm saying...right?? Anyway, I had a really good day. I went to church since it was sunday but then after my family came over and we ate and laughed and had a good time. Marin was there and it was so awesome to see her for the holidays. When she left I turned to James and cried. I wish all us sisters could live close, what a blast that would be. But since we don't I cherish the times we have together and am sad when they end. This is the only pic I have from my birthday. Why I didn't take more, I will never know. I think I was just having a good time and caught up in all the visiting that I just didn't think about it. I took this after everyone had left. James didn't want to take it but I told him it was my birthday and he had no choice. Aren't we soooo cute????

Christmas was a lot of fun. Jared was so spoiled this year from James' family. James' little sister had our name and I told her to just buy for the kids. Well since she works at UFA, she get tons of stuff with her employee discount and she bought Jared a full Black and Decker tool set complete with the big work bench and tools. On top of that she bought him all the extra tools that went with it, which were 2 extra boxes. He played with that thing literally all day. On Boxing Day we went to Jana's and Jared wore those safety goggles. He went to bed with them and no joke, wore them for like 4 days straight at Jana's. Needless to say it was a great gift.
This is Lorelle in her christmas dress. I had one for Mady too but it ended up being to small. Oh well, I'll get them next year. She is getting cutter everyday. Her cheek looks smaller but I said that last time and it wasn't. I see the doc on Friday so we will see what he says.
Lorelle and her loot from christmas. She was so excited, the poor thing got tuckered out.
Mady and some of her loot. This smile is her new thing. You put a camera in her face and this is what she does and she says "cheese".
Jared and all his loot before he got his tool set. I loved watching Jared this year. He was so excited every time he opened something. He would jump and scream. No matter what it was he would yell "mommy its my new present!!!" it was so cute. My mom came over yesterday and when she walked in Jared turns to her and says "you gave me my new backpack and blanket for christmas" it was cute.
Christmas Eve was spent at my mom's where James ate himself sick....literally. We came home and he had to go to bed so I got to greet Santa all by myself this year. Christmas Day, James' family came and spent the day with us. It was really relaxing and nice. Then Boxing Day we went up to Jana's until new years day which was probably the funnest New Years I've ever had. We went to Jana's friends house and just had a really good time. We didn't get home until 4am and being a mom with a 6 week old baby.....not a wise decision.

Now Marin is gone, James is back to work and Jared's speech classes have started again. Life is beginning to go back to normal. All I need now is my Turbo Jam and I will be set (*cough* Jana *cough*) Now that my kids are in bed, my house is clean, I am now gonna go get some popcorn and sit down in the silence, wrapped in a blanket and watch some TV. Hope you all had a good christmas and Happy new year. I know I did!!!
